OFFSHORE: Dolphin fishing slowed a bit this week; but that was largely due to less than ideal weather conditions. South winds could help push some dolphin up; but hard to say just how the bite may be. Kingfish bite remains very good this week with a good number of fish from south of Juno Pier all the way up to Jupiter Inlet. Average size has been 5-10lbs on the kingfish; with a few bigger ones mixed in. Drifting dead sardines has been a pretty safe bet to get some kingfish bites. Snapper fishing remains pretty good out of Jupiter in 60-90' of water. The moon is starting to get bigger now...could be some really good wahoo fishing coming up on this next full moon!
INSHORE: One more week of catch and release snook fishing...GOOD catch and release snook fishing at that. Plenty of snook around and they are chewing pretty hard right now. A few trickles of mullet starting to show up; and that will also really help fire up the snook as well. The jacks are cruising around the ICW right now; including some solid size ones! Mangrove snapper are still biting around the bridges at night. SURF/PIER: Good fishing at the Juno Beach Pier right now! Catch and release snook fishing has been good, with some big fish still biting. Kingfish are making afternoon showings at the pier; and have been pretty willing to chomp a Shimano "ColtSniper". Spanish Mackerel, including some very big one, have also been biting at the pier. The bobber rig and small clark spoon or jig is a great choice for the mackerel right now. Good fishing right now; well worth going if you have a chance. NOAA MARINE WEATHER: FRIDAY...South southwest winds 15 to 20 knots. Seas 2 to 3 feet. Period 4 seconds. Intracoastal waters a moderate chop. Showers and thunderstorms. SATURDAY...South southwest winds 10 to 15 knots. Seas around 2 feet. Period 3 seconds. Intracoastal waters a light chop. A slight chance of thunderstorms in the morning. Showers through the day. Thunderstorms in the afternoon. SUNDAY...West southwest winds 5 to 10 knots. Seas around 2 feet. Intracoastal waters a light chop. Showers and thunderstorms likely. Thanks For Reading, Todd Comments are closed.
