Memorial Day Weekend Fishing Outlook (5/27-5/30/2022)

Read Now

OFFSHORE-  Weather early this week kept reports a bit slim; but things are looking up nicely for the weekend!  Dolphin reports remain fair, with fish scattered it seems from 300-600' of water.  South winds should help get some more dolphin pointed north.  Trolling ballyhoo, bonita strips, and squid should all work well for the dolphin.  If you find good floating debris; drifting and chunking will also work well for the dolphin.  Could be a few wahoo lurking around the same areas as the dolphin, so keep a deep jig ready.  Best action this week remains Blackfin Tuna.  200-300' of water is the best depth range for the Blackfin Tuna.  Vertical jigs have been good for the tuna.  Putting live baits (live sardines are the top choice!) 20-30' below the surface is a great way to go for the bigger Blackfin Tuna.  Kingfish bite slowed a bit along the 120' ledge; but still a decent pick on them.  Cold water has the bottom fishing slowed down pretty good.  As the water warms back up, and the current slows down a bit the bottom fishing should heat back up nicely.  About time to start getting some bigger mutton snapper reports coming in.

INSHORE-  Snook fishing remains god inshore right now.  Last weekend to invite one home for dinner before the season closes.  The Loxahatchee River has been holding a few snook.  Bridges closer to the inlet are also producing well.  Outgoing tide tends to be the best bet for the snook; but if the water is moving you have a chance at them.  Live mullet is the best bait in the river.  Flair Hawk bite has been good at night.  Mangrove snapper bite has been improving inshore.  Small live pilchards and live shrimp are top bait choice for the mangroves.  A few big jacks and a stray tarpon or two cruising around inshore as well.

SURF/PIER- Snook fishing has really been heating up at the Juno Beach Pier and in Jupiter and Palm Beach Inlet.  Live baits (Croakers, pilchards, grunts, etc...) will be the best bait choice for the snook.  Look for outgoing tide to be the best bet in the inlets.  At the Pier the snook will bite best early in the morning and late in the afternoon.  The Juno Beach Pier continues to have some big jacks cruising through.  A diamond jig or swimming plug (Yo-Zuri Longcast Minnow or Rapala X-Rap) is a great way to go for the jacks.  The same lures will work if a stray kingfish should come cruising by.  Been a fair number of moonfish around the Pier and Jupiter Inlet.  Small crappie jigs or large sabiki rigs tend to be the best bet for them.  A few mangrove snapper around this week.  Croakers have been biting very good in the surf.  Live shrimp remains the bait of choice for the croaker.

NOAA MARINE WEATHER:
FRIDAY...South southeast winds 10 to 15 knots with gusts to around 20 knots. Seas 2 to 3 feet. Period 4 seconds. Intracoastal waters a light chop. Chance of showers and thunderstorms.

SATURDAY...South winds 5 to 10 knots. Seas around 2 feet. Intracoastal waters a light chop. Chance of showers in the morning. Chance of thunderstorms. Showers likely.

SUNDAY...South southeast winds 5 to 10 knots becoming southeast. Seas around 2 feet. Intracoastal waters a light chop. Chance of showers in the morning. Chance of thunderstorms . Showers likely.

weekend Fishing Outlook (5/20-5/22/2022)

Read Now

OFFSHORE- Good reports offshore this week, with a good mixed bag variety of action!  Dolphin reports remain strong, with lots of good fish coming in.  Best depth has been 200-600' for the dolphin.  The bite has bounced around depth wise depending on wind and ocean conditions.  Trolling bonita strips and squid has been a good bet for the dolphin.  Sailfish bite remains strong in 200-300' of water.  Lots of Blackfin Tuna around in the same 200-300' range.  Kingfish bite has been strong along the 120' ledge.  A handful of wahoo caught this week on the backside of the full moon.  Snapper reports have been strong this week as well.  Lots of good fishing overall offshore...get after it if you can!

INSHORE-  Snook fishing remains strong inshore.  The Loxahatchee River has been holding a good number of snook.  The snook have been keyed in on seawalls with good current flow.  A live mullet is the top choice; but early in the morning a topwater plug will also get some bites.  The bridges are holding a good number of snook at night as well.  Outgoing tide has been best bet for the most part.  Mangrove snapper reports continue to improve.

SURF/PIER-   Still getting a handful of pompano reports coming in.  Best bite on the late season pompano has been early morning.  Sandfleas have been the bait of choice for the pomps (Now that season is on the last final little stretch...we have some really nice fleas in-stock...a little late I know!).  Even though it's late in the season for them; if you find the pompano the sharks are close behind so get them in fast!  Snook reports continue to improve along the beach.  Starting to get some snook cruising in the trough: While the pods of snook are also showing up at the Juno Beach Pier in good numbers.  The Juno Beach Pier has been holding some good schools of pilchards, which in turn are attracting the snook nicely. A fair number of Spanish Mackerel hanging around the Juno Beach Pier as well.  Croakers are biting nicely in the first trough on small pieces of shrimp.

NOAA MARINE WEATHER:
FRIDAY...South southeast winds 10 to 15 knots with gusts to around 20 knots. Seas around 2 feet. Period 4 seconds. Intracoastal waters a light chop. Showers likely and chance of thunderstorms.

SATURDAY...East southeast winds around 15 knots with gusts to around 20 knots. Seas 2 to 3 feet. Period 4 seconds. Intracoastal waters a moderate chop. Slight chance of showers and thunderstorms in the morning, then chance of showers and thunderstorms in the afternoon.

SUNDAY...East winds 10 to 15 knots with gusts to around 20 knots. Seas 2 to 3 feet. Intracoastal waters a moderate chop. Slight chance of showers and thunderstorms.

Weekend Fishing Outlook (5/13-5/15/2022)

Read Now

OFFSHORE- After a rough week of weather offshore; initial reports for the weekend look pretty good actually.  Keep those fingers crossed that the weather reports hold true.  Those who braved it this week found the dolphin chewing big time.  Best dolphin reports in the rough stuff came in 180-250' of water.  Trolling bonita strips and squid was a safe bet for the dolphin.  Most of the dolphin have been 5-10lbs; with a few bigger gaffers in the mix.  Sailfish bite remains strong as well.  Live sardines and pilchards have been the best bet for the sailfish.  Look for the sails to be a bit deeper (200-300' is a good depth range) than usual wintertime hangouts.  Kingfish bite remains great off of Jupiter.   The 120' ledge from the Juno Beach Pier to Jupiter Inlet has been holding really good schools of kings.  Blackfin Tuna bite remains strong in 200-300' of water as well.  Snapper reports have been slim: Nicer weather this weekend should see an improvement in bottom fishing reports.

INSHORE-  Snook fishing remains strong inshore.  The Loxahatchee River has been holding a good number of fish this past week.  The topwater bite has been good early in the morning and late in the afternoon.  Look for the snook to be laid up under boat docks and along seawalls with good current flow.  A live mullet fished along a seawall with current is a great way to get a snook bite when the sun gets up a little higher.  Small tarpon and jacks have been mixed in with the snook in fair numbers.  Mangrove snapper continue to fill into their summertime inshore hangouts.

SURF/PIER-  Rough surf shut the fishing down for the most part this week.  Pompano fishing has largely dried up.  We could still see a few fish push through; but for the most part they have pushed north of us.  Lots of big jacks cruising the beach the past few weeks.  Despite rough surf; the Juno Beach Pier saw a fair number of jacks push through this week.  A few snook at the Juno Beach Pier as well.  Look for snook fishing to improve as the ocean continues to calm down.  A handful of mangrove snapper beginning to hang out around the Pier as well.

NOAA MARINE WEATHER:
FRIDAY...Southeast winds 5 to 10 knots. Seas 4 to 6 feet with occasional seas to 8 feet. Period 9 seconds. North swell around 3 feet. Intracoastal waters a light chop. Slight chance of showers and thunderstorms in the morning, then chance of showers and thunderstorms in the afternoon.

SATURDAY...Southeast winds 5 to 10 knots. Seas 2 to 3 feet. Intracoastal waters a light chop. Chance of showers through the day. Chance of thunderstorms in the afternoon.

SUNDAY...South southeast winds around 5 knots becoming southeast in the afternoon. Seas around 2 feet. Intracoastal waters a light chop. Chance of showers. Chance of thunderstorms in the afternoon.

Mother's Day Weekend (5/6-5/8/2022)

Read Now

OFFSHORE-  Good springtime fishing continued this week; and with the weather looking to hold for the next few days it should remain good.  Sailfish action remains strong, with most boats seeing at least a handful of fish every trip.  As is common this time of year, the sails tend to be just a little deeper than usual (180-250' is a good range).  The sailfish will tend to slide out a little deeper for cooler water and to have less competition with the bonita and kingfish.  Good dolphin reports over the past week.  No specific depth on the dolphin; as catch reports have come in from 150-600' of water.  Some really good size dolphin in the mix so don't forget the gaff!  Kingfish bite has been absolutely insane off of Jupiter over the past week.  The kingfish schools will move around a bit: but from the Juno Beach Pier to Jupiter Inlet in 120-150' of water is a pretty safe bet.  Live sardines are the most popular choice bait wise; but drifting dead sardines on a knocker rig will also get plenty of bites.  Blackfin Tuna bite remains very strong in 250-350' of water.  Pretty good numbers of tuna up and down the line; with some big fish being caught south of Lake Worth Inlet.  Fair snapper reports this week.  Look for mutton fishing to really fire up over the next couple of weeks.

INSHORE-  Snook fishing was very good inshore again this week.  A good number of snook in the Loxahatchee River during the day and around the bridges at night.  Look for the snook to be tight to seawalls and under boat docks during the day.  At night they will get in the shadow lines nosing into the current.  Warmer temps have the snook more active; and they are more than willing to chase down a bigger bait right now.  Palm Beach Inlet has been holding some good jacks, along with a few tarpon.  Starting to see a few more mangrove snapper being caught these days.  A live shrimp or small live pilchard is a solid choice for the snapper.

SURF/PIER-  Pompano fishing slowed way down this week; but still a few around.  Looks like we should get a some north wind late in the weekend, which in theory should help fire up another little push of fish.  Bluefish seemed to have finally gotten out of town, but you may see a straggler or two around still.  Snook are showing up in a little better numbers along the beach.  The Juno Beach Pier saw a few more cobia this week, along with a handful of kingfish.  Croakers and whiting have been biting fresh shrimp well in the surf.  Seaweed seems to have thinned out a bit over the past day or two.

NOAA MARINE WEATHER:
FRIDAY...South winds 5 to 15 knots. Gusts up to 25 knots. Seas less than 2 feet. Period 3 seconds. Intracoastal waters a light chop.

SATURDAY...South southwest winds 10 to 15 knots with gusts to around 25 knots. Seas around 2 feet. Intracoastal waters a light chop. Chance of showers and thunderstorms.

SUNDAY...Along the coast, west southwest winds 10 to 15 knots becoming southwest, then becoming east northeast in the evening. In the Gulf Stream, west southwest winds 5 to 15 knots becoming east southeast 5 to 10 knots in the evening. Gusts up to 25 knots in the Gulf Stream. Seas 2 to 3 feet. Intracoastal waters a moderate chop. Slight chance of thunderstorms in the morning. Chance of showers. Chance of thunderstorms.

Weekend Fishing Outlook (4/29-5/1/2022)

Read Now

OFFSHORE-  Very small weather windows to get offshore have kept reports to a minimum.  Sailfish have still been around in fair numbers.  A good push of springtime dolphin came through this week; with some solid 15-20lbers being caught.  Most of the dolphin were caught right along the 120' ledge.  Drifting and chumming with sardines worked well; as did trolling bonita strips and squid.  The springtime Kingfish run has kicked off in full swing.  A handful of cobia caught along the 120' ledge.  Blackfin tuna have been biting well in 200-300' of water.  Snapper reports were fair this week.

INSHORE-  Snook fishing was good agin this week.  Warming weather and some wind definitely doesn't hurt the snook fishing! A good number of snook in the Loxahatchee River and north in the ICW.  Live mullet fished around boat docks and seawalls will be the best bet for the snook during the day.  At night the snook have been around the bridges in good numbers.  A flair hawk or swimbait is a solid choice for the snook.  Look for a good moving tide and the snook should be around.  A few more mangrove snapper reports coming in.  Small pilchards and live shrimp are a good choice for the mangrove snapper.

SURF/PIER- Strong east winds in the forecast will likely make surf fishing very tough this weekend.  Seaweed has been thick in the surf this week; and based on the forecast it doesn't look like it will clean up all that much.  Pompano fishing has been good this week, with some good numbers of fish definitely still around.  Sandfleas, clams, shrimp, and FishBites remain the bait of choice for the pompano.  The Juno Beach Pier has had some good action over the past week as well.  Schools of big jacks have been cruising through in good numbers.  A GT Ice Cream or diamond jig has worked well to get them to bite. Late season springtime bluefish are still around the pier in good numbers.  A diamond jig or swimming plug has been working well for the blues.  A few kingfish at the end of the pier.  The big news though has been a good number of cobia at the pier.  Most of the cobia have been caught on bottom baits, but if the water clears up sight fishing may come into play.

NOAA MARINE WEATHER:
FRIDAY...East winds 15 to 20 knots with gusts to around 30 knots. Seas 5 to 7 feet with occasional seas to 9 feet. Period 7 seconds. Intracoastal waters choppy in exposed areas. Showers likely and chance of thunderstorms.

SATURDAY...East southeast winds 10 to 20 knots with gusts to around 25 knots. Seas 4 to 6 feet with occasional seas to 8 feet. Intracoastal waters choppy in exposed areas. Showers likely and chance of thunderstorms.

SUNDAY...East southeast winds 10 to 15 knots with gusts to around 25 knots. Seas 2 to 4 feet with occasional seas to 5 feet. Intracoastal waters a moderate chop. Slight chance of thunderstorms in the morning. Chance of showers. Chance of thunderstorms in the afternoon.

Weekend Fishing Outlook (4/22-4/24/2022)

Read Now

OFFSHORE-  Rough windy weather has once again kept reports down to a minimum this week; and unfortunately it doesn't look like the wind is going to let up into the weekend.  The sailfish continue to bite very well, and those willing to take on the rough stuff offshore are getting a good number of bites.  Good reports of multiple chances on the sailfish, with double digits not out of the question.  Some big gaffer dolphin mixed in with the sailfish right along the edge as well.  Live goggle eyes and blue runners are a solid choice under the kite; while pilchards, threads, and sardines are coming on strong as well.  Blackfin tuna bite continues to fire off, with some really good ones in the mix.  A live bait fished down a little deeper is a good way to go for the blackfin, as is a vertical jig.  Best bet for the blackfin seems to remain in that 200-300' range.  Kingfish are scattered along the 120' ledge in good numbers.  Rough weather has for the most part kept bottom reports on the slow side.

INSHORE-  Snook fishing continues to remain the best bet inshore right now.  The Loxahatchee and ICW are both holding a good number of snook.  It might not be the most fun to fish in, but the wind really helps fire up the snook.  Wind whipped seawalls and points provides easy ambush spots for lazy snook.  Live mullet fished along a seawall during the day (especially early morning and late afternoon) is a solid bet: While docelights at night is a good bet for big numbers.  As always try to fish the last of the incoming or first of the outgoing for best results (which part of the tide cycle that works best is often heavily spot dependent).  The bridge bite at night has also went off pretty good for the snook.  A few big jacks in the mix inshore as well as a few resident tarpon.  Mangrove snapper are starting to bite a little better inshore.  Live shrimp is a good choice for the mangroves.

SURF/PIER-  Despite rough nasty conditions (wind and enough seaweed to last a lifetime!) the surf and pier fishing has remained pretty good this week.  Conditions aren't nice and fishing will be tough...but still a decent number of fish around.  Pompano continue to bite well.  Hard to say exactly how long the pompano will hang around, but best guess is we only have a few more weeks of good action before they really start booking it north for the summer.  Sandfleas, clams, shrimp, and Fishbites have all been good bait choices for the pompano.  Late season bluefish continue to bite very well along the beach and at the Juno Beach Pier.  Best bite for the blues has been early morning, with a second little push of them as the sun sets in the afternoon.  GT Ice Creams and Rapala X-Raps are a good bait choice for the blues.  Snook action has also improved along the beach and at the Juno Beach Pier.  Starting to see some live bait shoe up at the pier.

NOAA MARINE WEATHER:
FRIDAY...Northeast winds around 20 knots with gusts to around 25 knots. Seas 5 to 7 feet with occasional seas to 9 feet. Period 6 seconds. Intracoastal waters choppy in exposed areas. Slight chance of showers.

SATURDAY...East northeast winds 15 to 20 knots along the coast to east northeast 15 to 20 knots with gusts to around 25 knots in the Gulf Stream. Seas 4 to 6 feet with occasional seas to 8 feet. Intracoastal waters choppy in exposed areas. Chance of showers in the afternoon.

SUNDAY...East winds 15 to 20 knots with gusts to around 25 knots. Seas 4 to 6 feet with occasional seas to 8 feet. Intracoastal waters choppy in exposed areas. Slight chance of showers. Slight chance of thunderstorms in the afternoon.

Easter Weekend Fishing Outlook (4/15-4/17/2022)

Read Now

NOTE...SHOP CLOSED EASTER SUNDAY (4/17)

OFFSHORE- The weather is looking pretty nice for the upcoming weekend...keep those fingers crossed that it stays the same!  Reports this week have been a bit slim due to less than ideal conditions early in the week.  With that said; we expect to see some really good springtime fishing this weekend.  Sailfish action should remain good for those looking for a few more releases.  Best action on the sails has remained in 120-250' of water for the most part; with the bite moving up and down the line a bit depending on conditions.  While goggle eyes and small blue runners remain a great bait choice, we are moving into that time of year when smaller thread fins, pilchards, and sardines will also majorly come into play!  Dolphin will remain mixed in with the sailfish: But, reports of dolphin out deeper (600-1000') are also on the rise.  Live baits will be best in shallow for the dolphin, while trolling bonita strips and squid out deeper is a killer way to go! Kingfish action has improved drastically along the 120' ledge.  Expect kingfish numbers to only improve over the course of the next few weeks.  Blackfin tuna reports remain very strong in 200-300' of water. Cobia reports fell off this week, but with improving conditions this weekend expect them to improve as well.  No wahoo reports yet...but that big moon should get some of them snapping before long!

INSHORE-  Snook reports have improved as the week has gone along (no doubt due to warming weather).  The Loxahatchee River has been holding a fair number of snook.  Early morning topwater bite has been pretty good for the snook.  The Yo-Zuri Hydro and Top-Knock Pencil have been great lure choices for the snook.  A live mullet fished along a seawall or under a boat dock with some current is a solid choice as the sun get up a little higher in the sky.  A few good jacks and a resident tarpon or two in the same areas as well.  Other inshore action has been a bit hit or miss.  Starting to get a few mangrove snapper reports coming in; but it remains a bit early for the bigger numbers of them to show up.  Tarpon fishing in Palm Beach Inlet remains pretty strong.  The resident fish around the Sailfish Club are biting live shrimp well on the tide changes.

SURF/PIER-  Pompano fishing remains very good along the beach.  A few very windy days and some heavy seaweed days slowed it a bit; but still very good numbers of them around! Sandfleas(we have a little batch of really little one in-stock), clams, shrimp, FishBites, and FishGum have all Benn great choices for the pompano.  Mixed in with the pompano have been a few permit, croakers, whiting, and plenty of blue runners.  Early morning and late afternoon remain best bet for the pompano.  Still a fair number of bluefish around; including some really good size ones!  The Juno Beach Pier has been holding a little bit of live bait, and the predators are not far behind.  Snook fishing has been improving on a daily basis.  A few kingfish in the mix, along with some bruiser jacks.  A Rapala X-Rap or Yo-Zuri Longcast minnow is a solid lure choice for both the jacks and kings. The Juno Beach Pier has also had a cobia or two come by, along with a few permit.  Good springtime fishing right now...get after it!

NOAA MARINE WEATHER:
FRIDAY...East southeast winds 5 to 10 knots. Seas around 2 feet. Period 4 seconds. Intracoastal waters a light chop. Showers likely and chance of thunderstorms.

SATURDAY...East southeast winds 5 to 10 knots. Seas around 2 feet. Intracoastal waters a light chop. Chance of showers and slight chance of thunderstorms in the afternoon.

SUNDAY...East southeast winds 5 to 10 knots. Seas 2 to 3 feet. Intracoastal waters a light chop. Slight chance of showers in the morning, then chance of showers and slight chance of thunderstorms in the afternoon.

Weekend Fishing Outlook (4/8-4/10/2022)

Read Now

OFFSHORE-  The fishing was good again this week offshore; though less than ideal weather kept reports down a bit.  It's pretty standard springtime fishing right now; so we can just go right down the long list of possible species to target...sailfish, dolphin, cobia, blackfin tuna, kingfish, snapper and more all being very realistic possibilities right now! The sailfish bite slowed just a bit this week, but was still very good.  North winds in the forecast will no doubt get them biting again.  Dolphin reports have also improved; with better numbers of fish in the 250-400' range showing up.  Cobia reports along the edge in 120' slowed a bit this week (all weather related), but still some caught.  Blackfin tuna action remains very strong.  Smaller live baits are a great way to target the bigger tuna; while a vertical jig is also a solid choice!  Snapper reports continue to improve along the bottom in 90-100' of water.  Sardines will no doubt be the bait of choice for the snapper.

INSHORE- Snook fishing reports remain good in the Loxahatchee River and around the bridges at night.  Warming water temperatures have the snook more inclined to actively feed, and slowly begin hiding towards the inlets.  The arrival of a few more springtime mullet inshore will also perk their interest.  It's not a full on chew yet, but putting some time in and fishing the correct tides will give you a chance at some snook bites.  During the day look for the snook to be tight to seawalls and under boat docks ready to ambush unsuspecting mullet.  At night they are holding around bridge shadow lines and under boat docks; with shrimp still making up the bulk of their diet.  The top of the outgoing tide in most cases is going to be hard to beat for the best action.  If the rain this week gets the spillways opened up, the snook will no doubt show up.  Still a few tarpon around inshore, along with a handful of big jacks.  A few more mangrove snapper are starting to show up inshore.

SURF/PIER- Pompano fishing remained very good this week both along the beach and at the Juno Beach Pier.  Hard to say just how long this spring run of pomps will last; so definitely get after them if you have the chance.  The usual natural baits (shrimp, clams, and the ever elusive Sandflea) are the way to go; while FishBites and FishGum continue to rack up the catches as well.  On the Juno Beach Pier a Doc's Goofy Jig will also produce some pompano bites, especially early in the morning and late in the afternoon.  Lowlight periods remain the best bet for the pompano.  Good numbers of late season bluefish around this week; with catches coming from both the pier and beach in good numbers.  Cut sardines and mullet will be top bait choices for the bluefish: A silver spoon or swimming plug is a solid choice as well for the blues.  Croakers have been abundant in the first trough; and are biting fresh shrimp the best.  The Juno Beach Pier is also starting to hold some live baits on a little more consistent basis (summer is just around the corner!).  With the bait showing up a bit more the snook numbers are improving; along with a stray cobia or kingfish as well.  Good time of year to get out on the beach or pier for nice mixed bag action!

NOAA MARINE WEATHER:
FRIDAY...North northwest winds 5 to 15 knots with gusts to around 20 knots. Seas 2 to 3 feet. Period 5 seconds. Intracoastal waters a light chop. Slight chance of showers in the morning.

SATURDAY...West winds 10 to 15 knots with gusts to around 20 knots. Seas 2 to 4 feet with occasional seas to 5 feet along the coast and 3 to 5 feet with occasional to 6 feet in the Gulf Stream. Intracoastal waters a light chop.

SUNDAY...North northeast winds 10 to 15 knots with gusts to around 20 knots. Seas 4 to 6 feet with occasional seas to 8 feet. Intracoastal waters a light chop.

Weekend Fishing Outlook (4/1-4/3/2022)

Read Now

OFFSHORE- Sailfish bite remained good to great this week depending on the time and place.  Still quite a few boats getting multiple chances; with ten chances not out of the question.  A few good mahi mixed in with the sails.  South winds in the forecast should help blow in a good number of dolphin this weekend as well.  Live goggle eyes under the kite remain the bait of choice for both.  Blackfin tuna action remains very good.  Small live baits are working well for the tuna, as are slim vertical jigs.  Big news this week was the cobia showing up in good numbers around the rudder fish schools.  It takes picking through the rudder fish and dealing with some sharks; but definitely a good number of cobia around.  Sardines are a tough bait to beat when it comes to the cobia.  Snapper fishing has been pretty consistent this week as well.  90-100' of water is a pretty good depth to look for the snapper in.

INSHORE-  Snook fishing remains strong inshore right now.  The Loxahatchee River continues to hold a nice number of snook during the day.  Fishing live mullet around docks and seawalls with light to medium current flow is great way to go.  The snook are fired up enough to eat a topwater early and late in the day as well.  Just don't be surprised if a big jack decides to swipe your topwater before a snook gets to it.  Tarpon fishing remains pretty good in the Palm Beach Inlet.  The south jetty has had a jig bite at night for the tarpon.  They are also biting live shrimp well around the Sailfish club.

SURF/PIER-  Pompano fishing remained very strong this week along the beach.  Catch reports bounced around a bit, with fishing showing up south of the Juno Beach Pier to north of Jupiter Inlet.  The slime grass blew in for a day or two; but seems to have cleared up for the most part at time of writing.  Sandfleas(If your lucky enough to find some), clams, shrimp, Fishbites, and Fishgum have all been popular bait choices.  Best bite is early in the morning, with another little push of fish generally late in the afternoon.  Good numbers of late season bluefish around this week as well.  There blues could be found scattered along the beach, and holding in good numbers at the Juno Beach Pier as well.  Silver spoon, loud noisy poppers, Rapala X-Raps, and cut bait have all been working well for the blues.  Croakers have been around in good numbers in the first trough, and are biting fresh shrimp well.  Starting to see a few more snook showing up in the surf as well these days.  Overall, a nice mix bag of springtime surf action!

NOAA MARINE WEATHER:
FRIDAY...South winds 15 to 20 knots. Seas 2 to 4 feet with occasional seas to 5 feet. Period 5 seconds. Intracoastal waters a moderate chop. Showers likely and chance of thunderstorms in the afternoon.

SATURDAY...South winds 10 to 15 knots. Seas around 2 feet. Period 3 seconds. Intracoastal waters a light chop. Chance of showers in the morning. Chance of thunderstorms. Showers likely in the afternoon.

SUNDAY...West winds 10 to 15 knots with gusts to around 20 knots becoming north northwest in the evening. Seas around 2 feet. Intracoastal waters a light chop. Showers likely and chance of thunderstorms.

Weekend Fishing Outlook (3/25-3/27/2022)

OFFSHORE- Weather this week has kept most boats at the dock, and reports to somewhat of a minimum.  Conditions look like they are lining up for a solid sailfish bite this weekend.  A couple days of sustained north winds should get the sails up tailing in the waves and enjoying the oxygen rich water on the surface.  Live goggle eyes under the kites will be a solid choice as always; but don't overlook a live sardine or threadfin on the flatline as well.  Later in the season (although these days who knows what sailfish "season" really is!) a smaller bait is often times preferred by the sails.  Expect the dolphin to be mixed in with the dolphin in 150-250' of water depending on conditions.  Springtime run of dolphin isn't here just yet, but really shouldn't be far off.  For the time being it's still primarily smaller packs of dolphin, with the average size being around 8-12 pounds and a few big ones in the mix.  Blackfin tuna reports continue to improve on a weekly basis, and that really shouldn't slow down anytime soon.  Cobia reports have also finally started to improve.  The cobia have been in 90-100' of water, and more than anything it's being lucky and landing in the right spot for them more than targeting them.  Bottom fishing reports were slow this week (Largely in part to nobody going...), but will no doubt be pretty good when conditions improve.

INSHORE-  Snook fishing has been good again this week inshore. We aren't talking huge numbers, but putting in the time should result in a few bites.  The topwater bite has been good early morning and on the better part of the tide changes.  Live mullet fished along ambush points, along seawalls with current, and under boat docks with access to deeper water are all also working very well.  A fair number of tarpon around in the Loxahatchee River this week as well.  The tarpon have also been keyed in on the mullet.  The jacks showed up briefly inshore, but seem to have pushed out as quick as they came in.  Sheepshead action has pretty much dried up, but maybe a late season one or two around.  Palm Beach Inlet remains pretty good for the jacks, and also some tarpon at night.

SURF/PIER-  Pompano fishing remains good along thew beach right now.  The numbers have slowed a bit over the past few weeks; but still definitely fish to be caught.  Shrimp, clams, FishBites, and FishGum have all been good choices for the pompano.  The Juno Beach Pier, and also Jupiter Inlet, have been producing a few pompano on Doc's Goofy Jigs.  Bright colors (orange, pink, chartreuse) all seem to be working pretty well.  A few late season bluefish around still, though they are tapering off a bit numbers wise.  The Juno Beach Pier has had a good bite on croakers this week.  Fresh pieces of shrimp has been the bait of choice.  Still a bit early, but snook reports continue to improve from the pier on a weekly basis.  Most of the fish are on the smaller side, with a few slots mixed in.  The snook are starting to eat live baits which is a good sign that they are getting more active.  Sharks are still around in good numbers if your looking for something bigger to pull on!
