OFFSHORE- Should be a very fishy weekend offshore! Looks like we get a little bit of all wind directions over the next few days, but thankfully doesn't look like it blows all that hard. Sailfish bite has been pretty good; and the north wind should help get them up on the surface and fired up. Live goggle eyes and small blue runners under the kite will be top bait choices for the sails; with a flatline pilchard or sardine also getting plenty of attention. Biggest problem with getting a sail bite the next few days will be getting through the Mahi. Dolphin bite has been absolutely crazy over the past few days. So many dolphin around (nice problem to have right!?!?) that getting out a full kite spread has been difficult! Best bite seems to be in the 150-300' range depending on conditions and location. The same live baits for the sailfish will attract the dolphin, as will trolling bonita strips and squid. Snapper fishing remains solid on the bottom, a good number of cobia starting to get in the mix with the snapper as well. 90-100' of water seems to be the best depth for the bottom, with sardines remaining the bait of choice. Bonita chunks have also been producing well on the bottom.
INSHORE- Snook fishing remains strong inshore. As the fronts start to roll through the snook pattern begins to change, but fishing for them remains strong if you dial it in. The Flair Hawk bite remains good for the snook; with the shrimp jig bite starting to fire off (More hand poured shrimp jigs in-stock very soon I promise!). Outgoing tide remains best, but incoming has also had a decent bite in dirty water situations. The bite during the day for the snook has started to slow, but still some around in the Loxhatchee River and ICW feeding on the resident mullet. At night those fish are keyed in on shrimp under docklights. Winter time shrimp season is upon us on inshore wise. Sheepshead, black drum, ladyfish, and others are starting to take up the usual winter time homes inshore. Good numbers of jacks around Palm Beach Inlet over the past week. SURF/PIER- Looks like we could be in for some great surf and pier action this weekend. Ocean should start to calm down, and if the water clears up a little it should be lights out. Under similar conditions early in the week the Spanish Mackerel and Bluefish bit really good. The Bobber Rig w/ a Clark Spoon has been a top lure choice. Got-cha lures have also been a great choice for the Macs. Pompano fishing has been solid, and should only improve over the weekend. Fishbites and FishGum have been great bait choices for the pomps; while a Doc's Goofy Jig will be the best lure choice. Sharks remain around in big numbers for those looking for somebody to pull on something bigger along the beach. Should be a lot of action along the beach this weekend...get after it! NOAA MARINE WEATHER: FRIDAY...Northwest winds 5 to 10 knots. Seas 2 to 3 feet. Period 9 seconds. Intracoastal waters a light chop. Slight chance of showers. SATURDAY...North winds around 10 knots. Report will return next Thursday

Seas 5 to 7 feet with occasional seas to 9 feet. Intracoastal waters a moderate chop. Chance of showers. . OFFSHORE- Conditions have not been pleasant offshore this week, but the fish are biting if you have the means to get out. Sailfish bite kicked off pretty good, with many boats getting multiple plus chances. Live baits under the kite are the way to go. Best depth has bounced around from 150-220' depending on conditions, and has also moved up and down the line a bit. Dolphin fishing has been very good this week. Lots of good gaffer size fish coming in 300-450' of water from Palm Beach to Jupiter Inlets. Trolling small ballyhoo and bonita strips has been pretty bulletproof over-all for the dolphin. Good numbers of small Blackfin tuna around in 200-300' of water. A small trolling feather is the can't miss way to go for the little football size tunas. Bottom fishing remains very strong for the snapper. Some good size muttons still coming in over the past few weeks. About time to start seeing a few cobia come off the bottom as well.
INSHORE- Snook fishing remains good inshore right now. Solid reports on the snook coming from the bridges at night, and in there Loxahatchee River during the day. Topwater bite remains very good early in the morning and late in the afternoon on the snook. Try to fish moving water for best luck on the snook. The shrimp jig bite is also getting going on the bridges at night for the snook. Other inshore action is a bit hit or miss. Starting to get a handful of sheepshead reports coming in, but no big numbers to speak of. Hobe Sound Flats continue to come to life more and more with cooling water temps. SURF/PIER- Rough surf and dirty water has kept reports to a minimum this week for the most part. Conditions look to improve greatly through over the next few days, and the fish should respond nicely. Bluefish continue to show up in increasing numbers. The blues have been quick to bite a noisy topwater, silver spoon, or cut mullet and sardines. Best action has been early in the morning and late in the afternoon on the bluefish. Pompano action has been good over the past few weeks, and will only improve over the weeks ahead. On the pier the pompano are biting Doc's Goofy Jigs and FishGum the best. Along the beach the pomps are biting Sandfleas, clams, FishGum, and FishBites. As usual, the pomps will bite best early in the morning and late in the afternoon. Shark action also remains very good along the beach; with the best action for the most part coming at night. NOAA MARINE WEATHER: FRIDAY...West southwest winds 10 knots becoming northeast in the afternoon. Seas 2 to 4 feet with occasional seas to 5 feet. Period 10 seconds. Intracoastal waters a light chop. Showers likely and chance of thunderstorms. SATURDAY...Northwest winds 5 to 10 knots. Seas 2 to 3 feet. Intracoastal waters a light chop. Chance of showers and thunderstorms. SUNDAY...North northwest winds around 10 knots. Seas 2 to 3 feet. Intracoastal waters a light chop. Thanks For Reading, Todd OFFSHORE- Well...November rolled in, in regular November looking fashion (see weather report below....Sunday sure looks like a nice day to go!). Not going to be much of a weekend for a trip offshore. Leading up to the weekend the fishing has been pretty good. Still a fair number of dolphin around, along with improving numbers of sailfish. Blackfin tuna have also been showing in good numbers. Solid bottom fishing this week, with good mutton and yellowtail reports coming in. Again though...see weather below...that's largely irrelevant this weekend.
INSHORE- Good snook fishing inshore right now. Still a fair amount of mullet around and the snook are still locked in on them. It won't be long before they make the winter switch over to shrimp (and the shrimp jig!!!!), but for now they are still biting the big stuff good. Swimbaits and Flair Hawk jig bite has been very good at the bridges at night. Outgoing tide has been best, but don't rule out incoming tide (especially if the water is on the dirty side). The spillways have also been producing a decent number of snook. Enough rain in the forecast that we could see them open over the weekend. SURF/PIER- Surf fishing has been very good as of late, but there weather isn't looking so good for that this week. Pompano fishing has been very good. Numbers are way up, unfortunately most of them are on the smaller side. A few keepers in the mix though. Bluefish are starting to show up in better numbers. They for the most part are more than willing to grab a topwater popper or silver spoon. Cutbait (sardines or mullet) will also get the bluefish's attention in a hurry. NOAA MARINE WEATHER: FRIDAY...East southeast winds 10 to 15 knots. Seas 3 to 5 feet with occasional seas to 6 feet. Period 8 seconds. Intracoastal waters a moderate chop. Showers and chance of thunderstorms. SATURDAY...West northwest winds 10 to 15 knots with gusts to around 25 knots. Seas 2 to 4 feet with occasional seas to 5 feet along the coast and 5 to 7 feet with occasional to 9 feet in the Gulf Stream. Period 8 seconds. Intracoastal waters a light chop. Showers likely in the morning. Chance of thunderstorms through the day. Chance of showers in the afternoon. SUNDAY...North northwest winds 15 to 20 knots with gusts to around 30 knots. Seas 5 to 7 feet with occasional seas to 9 feet along the coast and 11 to 13 feet with occasional to 17 feet in the Gulf Stream. North swell 4 to 9 feet. Intracoastal waters a moderate chop. Chance of showers. Thanks For Reading, Todd |
