Weekend Fishing Outlook (6/2-6/4/2023)

Read Now

OFFSHORE-  Dolphin fishing has been very good over the past week.  No hot depth; as reports have bounced around from 200-800' of water throughout the week.  Trolling bonita strips and squid remains a good bet for the dolphin.  Look for weedlines, current rips, or floating debris for the best chance at the dolphin.  The blackfin tuna bite slowed a bit this week; but still a decent pick on them in 200-300' of water.  Green water in along the 120' ledge slowed the kingfish action way down this week.  Full moon this weekend will hopefully get the wahoo fired up.  Slow snapper fishing reports this week with less than ideal water conditions: Should see some good bottom fishing as water gets back to normal.

INSHORE-  Snook fishing remains the best bet inshore.  It's all catch and release for the snook for the next three months; but it is also some of the best snook fishing of the year.  Full moon this weekend will have the snook in the inlets to spawn; and ready to feed after they do.   As always; treat those big fish with extra care this time of year...they are the future of our snook population!  Mangrove snapper fishing remains good inshore, especially at night.  Small pilchards and live shrimp are a good choice for the snapper.

SURF/PIER-  Fishing slowed drastically this week along the beach and at the Juno Beach Pier this week with dirty water setting in after last weekends swell.  The off colored water has pushed out the live bait; and a lot of the fish as well.  Snook fishing, which is now all catch and release, remains fair.  Biggest struggle with the snook fishing will be finding good bait.  Hopefully light N/NE winds in the forecast help push in some better water for the weekend.  As the water cleans up and the bait comes back in expect some really good fishing.
