OFFSHORE- Pretty good mixed bag action offshore this week. Sailfish action remains good for late in the season. Decent number of dolphin around, but they remain very scattered depth wise. Blackfin action is good in 200-300' of water. Troll small feathers for best luck on the tuna. The Yo-Zuri High Speed Vibe has also been producing some very nice sized blackfin. Kingfish action has been very good in 120-150' of water. Cobia remain scattered along the 120' ledge as well. Overall, it's very good spring time fishing offshore right now. NIce looking forecast for the weekend...take advantage of it!
INSHORE- Snook fishing remains good inshore, and with the ability to get access snook reports should improve. THe snook are definitly pushing towards the inlets, with bridges close by being a great starting spot for them. Look for bigger swimbaits and jigs to be good for the snook now, as they key in on bigger baits. Lots of bait inshore right now, so jacks and tarpon should be around as well. About time for some mangrove snapper to start showing up inshore. SURF/PIER- Surf reports up to the north have been very good. Pompano fishing has been very good, with some nice size fish in the mix Sandfleas, clams, and FishBItes have all been working well for the pompano. Croakers and whiting have been biting good on small pieces of shrimp. Some nice schools of jacks cruising around to test your tackle. Snook are starting to show up a little bit on the beach. Some tarpon cruising the beach as well. NOAA MARINE WEATHER: FRIDAY...North winds 5 to 15 knots. Seas around 2 feet along the coast and 2 to 4 feet with occasional to 5 feet in the Gulf Stream. Period 5 seconds. Intracoastal waters a light chop. SATURDAY THROUGH SUNDAY...East winds 5 to 10 knots. Seas 2 to 3 feet. Intracoastal waters a light chop.
