OFFSHORE- Good fishing offshore right now for those that can get out. Strong late season sailfish bite, with several boats finally getting some double digit days. A scattering of dolphin around, along with some blackfin tuna in 300-400' of water. A surprising number of wahoo around the past week, with most coming in 120-150' of water. A few cobia along the 120' ledge as well. Snapper fishing reports remain strong.
INSHORE- Snook fishing continues to get better as the fish begin to move towards the inlet. Best bet will be to fish the bridges at night, especially on an outgoing tide. Flairhawk jigs, SpoolTek Swimbaits, and the new savage line thru mullet are all good lure choices for the snook. Jacks are cruising around the ICW, along with a handful of tarpon. Best bet will be to fish them at first light or as the sun goes down. SURF/PIER- WELL...With both the beach and pier CLOSED...I honestly have nothing to write about here. Maybe up the coast?
