Sunday Afternoon Update (1/18/15)
Quick little update...
OFFSHORE- Sounds like the kingfish are scattered along the 120' ledge from Juno up to Jupiter Inlet today in halfway decent numbers. Sounds like some of the kings are nice smokers! A handful of nice cobias have been caught the last few days along the ledge as well. Drfting sardines on a knocker rig or small live blue runners will get bites from both the kings and cobia.
SURF/PIER- Jupiter Inlet has come alive this afternoon with a scattering of spanish mackerel, bluefish, and jacks. Spoons and gotcha lures should get the macs, and cut bait is the key for the bluefish. The pier has been seeing a lot of small sharks, a handful of sheepshead, and fair numbers of spanish macs (especially on high tide).
