OFFSHORE: Pretty consistent springtime fishing patterns setting in these days. Weather looks like we could see a little late springtime sailfish pop up this weekend. Solid kingfish bite along the 120' ledge this week. Live sardines and threadfins will be the top baits for the kings, but a triple hooked dead sardine on a knocker rig will get plenty of bites too. Blackfin Tuna bite remains good this week as well. Trolling small feathers and daisy chains is a good way to go for numbers of blackfin; while live baits fished down deep will be the best bet for the bigger blackfins. Dolphin reports were a bit spotty this week, but a few around. No hot depth to report on the dolphin they have been all over the board depth wise. Bottom fishing reports were very hit or miss this week, A few snapper reports; but definitely a bit of a grind overall on the bottom. Sardines will remain the bait of choice on the bottom.
INSHORE: Snook fishing remains the best bet inshore right now. The bridge bite remains good at night; especially on a outgoing tide. Flair hawk has been the lure of choice for good size fish. The snook are moving towards the inlets, so pick out bridges closer to inlets for best luck. Other inshore action remains a bit slow. SURF/PIER: Surf fishing slowed this week, A few pompano reports coming in; and some hope the pomps may bite this weekend with a little change in the weather. The Juno Beach Pier has been producing some snook, Spanish Mackerel. and a few kingfish over the past week. A few big jacks cruising through the Juno Beach Pier as well. Croakers have been biting pieces of fresh shrimp well in the first trough.
