OFFSHORE: Dolphin fishing is on fire right now. Won't be ideal conditions around, but the dolphin should be around in big numbers. Look for the dolphin to be in 150-300' of water. Live baits have been best, but trolling should produce some fish as well. Sailfish action should be hot in the same areas. Cobia action along the 120' ledge remains good, along with some scattered kingfish. Springtime run of kingfish should pop off at pretty much anytime. Look for the snapper fishing to get hot as well when the kings show up.
INSHORE: Snook fishing has been good, and should improve as the fish start to move towards the inlet. Look for the snook to feed best on the outgoing tide, especially at night around the bridges. Still some monster jacks moving around in the ICW. Been a few sheepshead hanging around area bridges. Other inshore action is a bit spotty. SURF/PIER: Pompano fishing remains strong, with decent catches coming up and down the line. Been tough fishing lately with all the seaweed around, but as it clears out the pompano should be on fire. Sandfleas and clams remain the baits of choice for the pompano. Look for lowlight periods to be best for the pomps. Scattered spanish mackerel around, along with a few bluefish. Snook are starting to show up in better numbers along the beach as well. NOAA MARINE WEATHER: FRIDAY...NORTHEAST WINDS 15 TO 20 KNOTS.
