The close of business yesterday marked seven years for me as the owner of Juno Bait. As I went through my normal nightly closing routine, I couldn't help but flash back over the past seven years. I remember unlocking the door on August 1, 2008 like it was yesterday, so how seven years have come and gone is beyond me! It has been a great ride; filled with great memories, stories, people, and friends. To think about where I started seven years ago, what I've done since then, and where I'm going in the next seven is a lot of fun; and makes me smile. Luckily I've had the support of great customers, loving family, and awesome friends over the past seven years to make all of this happen. I really shouldn't say "I" at all, because almost all of what Juno Bait is "we" did together.
To ALL Juno Bait customers, THANK YOU so much for all your support...and yes your money. Hey, it's a business let's face it we need the money to keep going.
To my wonderful wife Morgan, thank you so much for dealing so well with all the eighty hour work weeks and never losing the faith or vision for Juno Bait. To the rest of my awesome family thank you so much for all the different ways you help out!
To my awesome employees (who are really more friends than employees) past and present thank you for all your help and support. Without Eddie (who I like to think is smiling down on us from his pompano beach in the sky, and also cussing us for not feeding his birds), Austin (who helped me sneak a few mental health days out early on), Ryan (my first true employee, who may have saved my sanity after three plus years of seven day work weeks, Eric (who helped create "Everything You Need To Know about Fishing"...yeah it'll be back soon!), Jim (who I bought the shop from, and continues to help out on a weekly basis), Joel (who isn't really an employee, but besides Morgan was the other person pushing me into the new space), and Kenny (who continues to turn out sick rod work); we wouldn't be anywhere close to where we are now.
And all my friends (many who started as customers and have become good friends) thank you for all the help, support, and laughs over the past seven years.
Thanks again everyone, couldn't do it without you,
Todd
