OFFSHORE- Fishing was relatively quiet offshore this week; with a fair amount of time being dedicated to lobster mini season in place of fishing. Dolphin fishing slowed this week, with a handful of fish being caught out deep (Over 1000'). Wahoo fishing remains good on the backside of the full moon. Wahoo bite has been best first thing in the morning; with the biggest factor being a section of water not choked with seaweed. Find an area in 150-250' clear enough to pull the baits for more than a few minutes and a wahoo bite is likely. Early in the week the kingfish were biting at night on the full moon; though that bite slowed as the week went on. Bottom fishing has been good this week. The current on the drop has been ripping; so focus on 70-90' of water for the best results. Sardines and squid are the way to go on the bottom. INSHORE- Catch and release snook fishing remains the main game in town on the inshore side of things. The snook bite was not great this week, but those putting in the time have been catching a few. The best numbers of snook will be around the inlets; with the top of the outgoing tide being prime time to target them. Inshore mangrove snapper fishing remains fair, with the best action coming at night around the bridges. Small live pilchards and live shrimp are top bait choices for the mangroves. SURF/PIER- Fishing has been a bit slow this week along the beach. Catch and release snook fishing will be the best bet, with the best action coming early in the morning. The Juno Beach Pier has been a bit spotty this week; with a few days of fair action and other days very slow. Catch and release snook fishing remains good at the pier, especially early and late. A few kingfish have been cruising by the end of the pier late in the afternoon, with a Rapala X-Rap the top lure choice to throw at them. Pretty good number son blue runners around as well. Sandperch and a few croakers have been showing up in the trough late in the afternoon, with pieces of fresh shrimp a top bait choice for them. NOAA MARINE WEATHER: FRIDAY...SW winds 5 to 10 kt. Seas around 2 ft this morning, then 1 foot or less. Wave Detail: W 1 foot at 3 seconds. Intracoastal waters light chop. A slight chance of showers and tstms early this afternoon. A chance of showers and tstms late. SAT...SW winds 5 to 10 kt, becoming S 10 to 15 kt in the afternoon. Seas less than 2 ft or less. Wave Detail: SW 1 foot at 3 seconds and N 1 foot at 5 seconds. Intracoastal waters light chop. A chance of showers and tstms late in the morning. A chance of showers and tstms late. SUN...S winds 10 to 15 kt. Seas around 2 ft. Wave Detail: S 2 ft at 4 seconds.
