OFFSHORE- Sailfish action picked up a bit this week from Palm Beach to Jupiter Inlet. No huge release numbers; but most boats putting the time in have at least been seeing a few fish. Conditions do look decent for the sails headed into Friday and Saturday. A few dolphin mixed in with the sailfish, along with a few scattered Blackfin Tuna. Most of the action has been in 150-250' of water. Not a lot of bottom reports this week, but Friday and Saturday are shaping up to be decent looking days to give it a try.
INSHORE- Inshore action remains on the slower side this week. Catch and release snook fishing remains tough. A few fish around the bridges for those really putting the time in; but it's a grind at best. A few sheepshead inshore. The sheepshead have not been holding in Palm Beach Inlet yet, have to start showing up soon. SURF/PIER- The Juno Beach Pier continues to produce a good bite on the croaker and whiting. Small pieces of shrimp are the top bait choice for the croaker and whiting. A decent scattering of bluefish hanging around the pier this week as well. A large metal casting jig (Like the new JYG Pro Vyper) or GT Ice Cream is the way to go for the bluefish. A couple schools of jacks have cruised by the pier as well. Pompano reports remain on the slow side. NOAA MARINE WEATHER: FRI...NE winds 5 to 10 kt. Seas 2 to 3 ft. Wave Detail: N 2 ft at 6 seconds. Intracoastal waters light chop.
