OFFSHORE- Nothing to report from offshore this week. Conditions do look to improve a bit over the next few days and a few boats maybe able to get out. Expect the dolphin fishing to fire off as conditions improve. The day or two after a prolonged stretch of bad weather is always great for the dolphin. The wind turns north this weekend with a cool front pushing through; which could trigger a good early season sailfish bite. Depending on the water conditions look for the selfish to be in 200-300' of water. Putting the kites up will be the way to go for the sails, just be ready to deal with the dolphin as well. They will likely be all over the same kite baits as the sails! No bottom reports again; hopefully that starts to change over the next week. INSHORE- Inshore conditions have been tough this week again. The Loxahatchee River and ICW have had a lot of freshwater and the bite has been slow. A few snook biting at night around the bridges. Bright colored flair hawks have been the best bet for the snook with the dirty water conditions. Mullet activity has been slim due to the less than ideal water conditions. As water and salinity get back to normal we should still see a decent push of fish coming through. Palm Beach Inlet has had a few jacks and tarpon cruising through, but overall conditions remain less than ideal. Conditions do look to be somewhat improving towards the end of the weekend. SURF/PIER- Tough weather conditions and very dirty water have kept reports to a bare minimum over the past few weeks....unless you're into catching catfish. The catfish bite remains very hot! Sounds like a fair amount of finger mullet have been coming down the beach over the past week. A few scattered small snook, ribbonfish, and small tarpon have been following behind the schools of finger mullet. A handful of scattered pompano around. Not big numbers; but as the weather calms down and water conditions start to improve the pompano fishing should fire off. No bluefish reports yet, but conditions are lingering up for them to arrive in the near future. NOAA MARINE WEATHER: FRI...E winds around 10 kt. Seas 3 to 5 ft, occasionally to 6 ft. Wave Detail: E 3 ft at 5 seconds and N 2 ft at 6 seconds. Intracoastal waters light chop. Showers likely with a chance of tstms. SAT...N winds 10 to 15 kt. Seas 4 to 6 ft, occasionally to 8 ft. Intracoastal waters light chop. A chance of showers. SUN...N winds 10 to 15 kt. Seas 5 to 7 ft, occasionally to 9 ft. Intracoastal waters light chop.
